30th Anniversary of the Miners’ Strike Fundraising Event

On Saturday 14th March the Neath, Dulais & Swansea Valley Miners Support Group held a fundraising event at ‘The Palace of Culture‘ (Onllwyn Welfare Hall) in a celebration of solidarity for all the support they received, in particular from LGSM (Lesbians & Gays Support the Miners), as depicted in the film Pride. The event was gratefully sponsored by Thomsons and Unite.

The South Wales Miners’ Library were honored to accept the Neath Dulais & Swansea Valley Support Group banner, which was presented by Hefina Headon’s family to Wayne Thomas, NUM on our behalf.

Ann Jones presented the Greenham banner to Sian Williams, Librarian of the South Wales Miners’ Library.
