Books For Sale @ The Miners’ Library

At the Miners’ Library we have several categories of ‘books for sale’, come along and see for yourself…

We sell books for LLAFUR – The Welsh People’s History Society, which include:

  • From the Rhondda to the Ebro by Alun Menai Williams – £11.00
  • Miners Against Facism: Wales and the Spanish Civil War by Hywel Francis – £15.00
  • The South Wales Miners: 1964-1985 by Ben Curtis – £15.99
  • Wales since 1939 by Martin Johnes – £15.00
  • William Hazell’s Gleaming Vision: A Co-operative Life in South Wales, 1890-1964 by Alun Burge

We sell books that have been withdrawn from South Wales Miners’ Library stock, all hardbacks are £1.00, paperbacks are 50p, these currently include:

  • Laptops for Dummies (2nd ed) by Dan Gookin – 50p
  • Diana, Princess of Wales: A tribute by Tim Graham – £1.00
  • Phycology (4th ed) by Robert Edward Lee – 50p
  • New Flora of the British Isles (2nd ed) by Clive Stace – 50p

We also sell books for International Book Aid, with all proceeds going to fund school books for children in Africa. These books are donated by the public and cost £1.00 for hardbacks and 50p for paperbacks.

There is always an interesting selection of books on display in the foyer at the Miners’ Library
